Comparing Amy Tan's with Sample Student Autobiography

In Amy Tan's Mother Tonue, she writes about the way her English is different compared to her mother's way of speaking. In the student's autobiography, she writes about the things she remembers about her past, and it's mainly about books and writing. She has lost the enjoyment of writing and reading because of how high school brought her down. In both autobiographies, both writers expierence the skills of writing at a young age. Both writers had a low point in their writings though. Amy's was that she was embarrassed that her mother couldn't speak English well, and the student's was that she fell into the life of high school.
